Natural Fibres
At Tula, we prefer to use materials sourced from nature whenever possible and the bounty of natural fibres and reeds available in India has provided us with infinite resources. We have products made of fibres ranging from banana fibre, to cane, dalapati, shitalpati, jute, water hyacinth and bamboo.
The indigenous communities of our country have long used these natural materials for objects of daily living because they recognised the merit in biodegradable and renewable resources. We work with craftspeople who employ such traditional basketry techniques to make lasting everyday objects that have a low environmental impact.
