Longpi is an indigenous pottery technique using hand moulded serpentine clay local to the Ukhrul district of Manipur. This is an unglazed type of pottery that relies on wood-firing. The fired pieces are polished with Chirona leaves to develop the deep metallic colour.
The Channi cup is made with traditional Longpi techniques but has a lovely minimalism to it. The cup comes with a removable strainer that allows you to steep your tea in, minimising clean-up time.
